Twitter Continues Its Dishonest, Unethical Practices

January 9, 2018

I received another denial from Twitter at 2:48 PM. They still have refused to supply a reasonable explanation for their doing so:

Your account has been suspended and will not be restored because it was found to be violating the Twitter Terms of Service, specifically the Twitter Rules against participating in targeted abuse.

In order to ensure that people feel safe expressing diverse opinions and beliefs on our platform, we do not tolerate abusive behavior. This includes behavior that harasses, intimidates, or uses fear to silence someone else’s voice.

You can learn more about our rules against abusive behavior here:

I went to Twitter’s New York headquarters and asked to speak with customer service.  There were three security guards there, two at a desk and one standing.  One pulled out the below sheet of paper, which I photographed after filling out, although I unfortunately didn’t take a safety shot, and my hand was shaking too much with nervousness.  It should be reasonably legible though.  I doubt it will accomplish anything, but appealing my case is doing exactly I did when I reported @VerbotenPublish et al.’s abusive tweets to me, nothing.
At least this tells them that there is a real person behind the Twitter handle whose bots have unreasonably kept me off the site while allowing vicious attackers to remain.

  1. I just noticed I backdated it a year. Honest mistake. Who hasn’t done that?
