June 4, 2014

How about we end this cost of education bullshit on the average citizen and make it free for them (paid through tax money ) 😐

Thank you but no, I don’t wish to pay for your kids college, why haven’t you saved for that?  I don’t wish to pay so your kids can just take any degree, take as long as they want, and then still come out and not want to work.

+rockthestrand  And this is why you’re a dumbass. You don’t get that educating EVERYONE’S kid is investing into our society’s future eh? The more educated a society, the better it is. The less corruption that can occur and the more productive it is.

+The God Emperor Because Rockthestrand is selfish. He sees the overwhelming benefit to society, yet focuses on the taxes that will be personally paid.
Welcome to the human race, where advancements to society are always stifled by selfish little shits like that.

+rockthestrand I’m pretty sure if a student decides to take up college, even if it was free, they would want to use that opportunity. If they take as long as they want, they won’t just sit back after earning a degree. If a student is that lazy, they probably wouldn’t even try to make an effort for college. College is a choice, they would want to go for their own sake, not to just go for the fun of it. Obviously there are could be some people out there who think otherwise, but a huge majority of people heading to college is to better themselves and their opportunity for jobs.

+Vicious Ranger  Ya, people like him are part of why I think we should limit who gets to vote and run for office… if there was an objective and easy way to prove someone was a selfish twat? ya, ban.

Wow, I’m selfish because I think people need to work and pay for their OWN continuing education.  How utterly selfish of me.

And we already have many “college graduates” that sit around not wanting to work, if it was free and more went to school I would think we would have more of this.

I guess if you people don’t like our education system you should just move out of the country?

+rockthestrand  You realize people do a lot of work in college right? Education isn’t exactly the “beer drinking, fucking partyfest” that movies make them seem to be. Those who do that? They fail out.

Btw, prove that there are a significant number of “college graduates sitting around not wanting to work” because I’ll bet money you can’t find any objective study/survey/statistic that backs your shitty belief up. Are there likely some? Yes. Are they the majority? No. Most college graduates WANT to work and do something with their life. But so many are unemployed not by choice.

And fuck you, I’d rather improve our society, not let selfish twats see it crash and burn. We could remove so much of the funding from the military that the military itself admits it doesn’t need (all the tanks, planes, and various other vehicles they have tried to reject taking, but Congress forces because their business interests told them to pay for these things, etc, that would account for a LOT of money on its own).

+The God Emperor Not gana lie, I sided in the middle of you two before you said he shouldn’t be aloud to vote based on his personal opinion….. Believe you’re the one who needs a ban out of our free country.

+Vman  lol at you believing our country is free. People like him who have given into the corporate propaganda and the bullshit ideologies has ruined the freedom we did have. It’s not like we don’t already ban people from voting, people have just come to accept it as it is.

+rockthestrand What about kids who chose medicine or engineering. To be honest I wouldn’t mind giving to them which in the end they would benefit us all. I rather give them instead than bailing out a fat corporate millionaire… AGAIN

+rockthestrand lol Students work far too hard for college, especially when they struggle to pay their debt and ending up not getting the job they studied in. You have to realize that your taxes goes to other places you might not like, but have to. Like would you rather pay for kids education or criminals in jail? You’re very close minded about college students situation. There is a vast drop out rate, not because of students being lazy, but they can’t afford to pay and underestimated college costs. I’m a soon to be freshman of a college. I have a full tuition because it has low tuition rates. I’ve been focused on saving money and not being forced to acquire a loan from a college I’d later transfer to. Many of my classmates go to low tuition schools, so they could transfer, but even doing that could have them in a rut financially and possibly lower their chances of being accepted to the college they want.

+joshua barnes  The funny thing is, that idiot thinks he cares about the economy, but if he did, we’d work on making the education costs 0 for people. Because student debt doesn’t grow the economy, it keeps people from buying houses, cars, and real products that feed into the economy. Oye…

Or we can just continue to shower the privileged with more and more advantages that will accumulate until everything is inherited and little or nothing is earned.

+Jason Ries  What privileged? The only ones who are privileged are the top 1% given the cost of living and the income inequality. And you can’t fight the fact that education costs are fucking our economy. Student Debt exceeds all other personal debt in this country. Credit cards, mortgages, etc. All of it  If we do nothing, we fuck only our own nation.

Call me selfish, but I am on your side. I know too many people that graduated, couldn’t find a job, so went back for there masters, couldn’t find a job, and now are hailed as champions for getting a PHD that narrows there job choice to a certain section of a museum. Or those that major in Math or a language and can now only teach. Maybe if there wasn’t a general studies or undeclared major and/or if it is a loan that you have to pay if your worth 5-10 years down the road doesn’t exceed the cost. Overall, yes, probably a good idea, but my pride can’t get past the bottom 20 percent of low quality (take advantage of and/or stupid) people.

+Trentan Lancaster  You have NO idea how much work it is to get a masters and PHD huh? Or how much it costs. They deserve praise. Btw, getting your doctorate tends to advance the field you get a doctorate is in some way. Just because YOU don’t see the benefit doesn’t mean there isn’t one.

And, hey maybe, just MAYBE it’s not the fault of the person at finding a job, but the god damn economy because assholes of the rich and corporations ruined our nation’s economy. not sure how you watch TYT U and not TYT and realize this :\ Hell, you might go “well they should just work at low paying jobs that they can get until they find better” and there are two problems with that

1) the low paying jobs like, say, fast food tends to be minimum wage, not enough to live off of

2) you clearly have never been told you’re “overqualified” for a job. Happens a lot. Some corporations don’t want educated workers for their low paying jobs for a variety of reasons. Usually because those who are hiring will feel threatened you’ll go after their jobs. And if not, they don’t want educated workers who will unionize and cause them troubles. And there are a variety of other reasons.

You assume a lot about others comments, don’t you?
Nothing like blaming an outside source that can’t be quantified to bring up your own self esteem as to why you can’t find a job. Eg; If only God didn’t create Adam and Eve, we wouldn’t be in this poor economy to begin with. Stop complaining about something you can’t control and deal with it. It is what it is, whining won’t help your case.
No one deserves anything much less a job. People need to stop parading their owe unearned entitlement.
Make yourself marketable and stop wallowing in self pity.
(I am not directing this explicitly at you, but at the populations in general; “you” = everyone)

+Trentan Lancaster That kinda thing sounds great and, yes, you should always work hard and try to find a job, but the end of the day, the fact of the matter is you don’t get to choose who hires you and who doesn’t. That’s up to the business. And, the fact of the matter is, there are only a limited number of jobs in an area. you might say “move” but moving is a lot easier when you have money. Which, if you notice due to economic indicators, a lot of the middle and lower class no longer have money to move freely/easily. It’s a result of 30 years of “trickle down” bullshit that has trickled down nothing and pushed wealth only upwards…
