Message: The shelter has two elevators, only one of which they allow residents to use. Lately, they have kept it turned off because people without elevator passes have been using it. I am one of those people. I have scoliosis, herniated discs, sciatica, and plantar fasciitis, and even with that medical documentation, they will not allow me the choice to use the elevator rather than the stairs, even though they get paid 118 a day for my presence. The two guys in wheelchairs presumably have to ask security now every time they want to use it. I dont think this is a valid policy considering the amount of income they get per resident.
