They didn’t hire fresh grads 10 years ago.

They didn’t hire fresh grads 10 years ago.

“They call this a ‘skills shortage’: they can’t find sufficient numbers of people with 10 years of experience because they didn’t hire fresh grads 10 years ago.”

I am sick of people telling me that my homelessness is my fault because I didn’t choose a STEM major, when STEM majors are having just as much trouble.  My homelessness was caused by lack of hiring for anything but dead-end work, and a family that bought into the STEM myth.

Frank Bruni, B.A. in English from UNC Chapel Hill, with his offensive column, http://www.nytimes.com/2013/01/06/opinion/sunday/bruni-how-to-choose-a-college.html , http://www.nytimes.com/2013/04/21/opinion/sunday/bruni-questioning-the-missionof-college.html?pagewanted=allhttp://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/29/opinion/sunday/bruni-the-imperiled-promise-of-college.html really needs to shut up.
